Ride Price Raised for Minnie Van Service at Walt Disney World, Expands to Fort Wilderness Tomorrow

On February 12th, 2018, Walt Disney World will raise the price per standard ride in a Minnie Van vehicle from $20 to $25.

While initially only available to guests staying at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club and Boardwalk Resorts, Minnie Vans have since rolled out to the Wilderness & Animal Kingdom Lodge hotels, as well as the Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, Contemporary, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, Caribbean Beach, and Pop Century Resorts due to popular demand.

REVIEW: Minnie Vans Transportation Service Launches Through Lyft at Walt Disney World

Starting tomorrow, guests at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground can go to the front desk at the resort to activate the point-to-point transportation service for their use.

As well, the Minnie Van airport transportation service that launched a few weeks ago is still available at select concierge resorts at the same initial price point.

Minnie Vans is a paid transportation service that is operated by Disney and summoned through the Lyft app. Please check out our review to see how it works and if Minnie Vans will be right for you.

  1. I’m outraged that a completely optional service, that I had no plans to ever use, has increased marginally in price. I will not stand for this injustice.

  2. Great idea, that should weed out some of the lower class guests. We had to wait almost 5 mins for a Minnie van a few weeks ago and then the back seat was absolutely disgusting, it looked like some greasy tourists had just left a buffet and had eaten nothing but fried chicken.

  3. Wow. What a ripoff.

UberX to most places on property is $7-$12. Even uberSelect would run about half the price.

Tried a minivan once, was ok but not worth $20 never mind $25

    • I think it’s a great service and it drops you off closer than any Uber can to your destination. It’s ok if some can’t afford it or don’t see a value in that. No need to get upset about it.

    • I totally agree with you can Lyft or Uber from one side of the property to other for about $10 and leave a $2.00 tip – Half price and get there quicker. I used Minnie Van once waited 12 minutes for the ride and then got a text that it wouldn’t arrive for another 13 minutes. Every Uber or Lyft that I took that week we waited no longer than 3 minutes.

  4. Its not even fully rolled out and they are already upping the price maybe they can afford to fix the Monorail doors with the extra $5

    • If the Monorail were powered by whines and moans, it could be run just by the comments section of WDWNT alone.

  5. You have all gone how many years now without needing or using the Minnie Van service… if you don’t like the price or the cars, then don’t use it. Pretty simple!
