In a email sent to all the Disneyland Paris cast members, Bob Chapek announced Catherine Powell’s role in a new structure that has proven to be successful in the Asian parks.

Reporting to Bob Chapek, Catherine Powell will lead the Western Region with Walt Disney World President George Kalogridis and Disneyland Resort President Josh D’Amaro reporting to her. The President of Disneyland Paris, a role that Powell will fulfil until a successor is named to replace her, will also report to Powell as Western Region leader. One rumor is that Philippe Gas, current Disneyland Shanghai President, will return to oversee the 2 Billion Euro investment.

The Eastern Region will remain as is with the Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Walt Disney Attractions Japan reporting to Michael Colglazier.

This change is a direct result of the restructuring announced last week.

A fantastic, well deserved promotion! Paris will miss her leadership and personal touch to everything she did at the resort.
