Frittata di Asparagi: Asparagus Frittata, Mixed Greens and Citrus Dressing (GF) (V) – $7.00
There was potential here for a great dish, unfortunately nothing worked together and it was ultimately just not good.
Fritto Misto: Crispy Shrimps, Zucchini and Spicy Sauces – $8.00
A dish that was beyond salty and felt like a cheap replacement for calamari. Have some water handy if you plan on ordering.
Ravioli: Maine Lobster Ravioli with Vodka Sauce – $12.00
Twelve dollars gets you two ravioli and some cheap caviar on top. The ravioli were al dente, as in barely cooked through, and the interior resembled a can of Fancy Feast. This dish couldn’t be a bigger disappointment, especially for the price tag. Avoid at all costs.
Panna Cotta al Melone: Cantaloupe Panna Cotta (GF) (V) – $5.50
There’s a strong cantaloupe flavor hiding in the disgusting texture of this dish. If you can stomach getting below the gelatinous top layer there’s potential, just don’t let it sit in the sun for too long.
Bellini: Sparkling Wine and Peach Puree – $10.00
While everything else at the Italy outdoor kitchen was rather unfortunate, the Bellini stood out as something we all said we would come back for. Unlike past incarnations where the Bellini was made to order, this version was premixed. It was a solid balance of ingredients which was missing in previous years. Light, refreshing, and a perfect twist on a mimosa.
Can we please get someone else to review food? I find Topher’s reviews to be awfully short and and lacking any sort of description. Not to mention that he seems better suited to be reviewing burgers at the local Chili’s than anything that comes out of France, Japan, and China.
“There was potential here for a great dish, unfortunately nothing worked together and it was ultimately just not good.”
That doesn’t tell us a thing about the dish, other than he did not enjoy it.
