After a long renovation period, the rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa are complete. I recently had the privilege of staying in a new room and it was well worth the wait.

One unexpected feature I discovered immediately was the manually controlled recessed lighting around the perimeter of the room. It could be left at any brightness and was quite fun to play with—let’s hope kids don’t discover it!

Space is used quite efficiently in the new set up and the details are appreciated.

Personally, I enjoyed the Disney touches in the room.

It’s clear that there was special attention paid to the details and quality in each room. I think the improvements made in the rooms were well worth the wait!
The beds at the Grand Californian are the most comfortable of all of Disney’s deluxe resorts. I don’t understand why these beds are not at any of the Florida deluxe resorts.
I agree! Even the extra bed was very comfortable!!
I got the privilege to stay in this exact room about 3 months ago and I can say, I probably won’t stay anywhere but here when I go to Disneyland now.
I feel the same way! I’ve stayed at all three Resort hotels multiple times over the years and with the latest upgrades at the Grand Californian, it’s going to be hard to stay anywhere else.
