It was a beautiful sunny day in Disney California Adventure and guests could get a great view of the ongoing PIXAR Pier construction.
One of the biggest changes guests can see is the new paint scheme on what will be the ice cream stall belonging to the Abominable – excuse me – the Adorable Snowman. This location will serve Lemon Dole Whip when it opens in June.
Mickey’s Fun Wheel, which will be renamed the PIXAR Pal-a-Round, continues its transformation. We saw the gondolas in the process of being repainted just last week. Meanwhile, World of Color remains dark through June and the end of this project.
As guests make their way through the PIXAR Pier construction to ride Toy Story Midway Mania (which remains open with Fastpass distribution moved closer to The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure), they will find concept art for the Incredicoaster along their path. The images depict the entrance to the attraction and the loading area among others.
Speaking of the Incredicoaster’s loading area, here is a picture of its current state.
Scaffolding remains on along all of the tunnels (previously the scream tubes of Californian Screamin’).
That sums up all of the visible progress on PIXAR Pier at Disney California Adventure. The area (and the Incredicoaster) is scheduled to open on June 23rd, 2018.
Dear lord…that second picture. I know the WOC fountains haves to be raised at times, but What happened to caring about show?
