Disney is now offering one-day, one-park tickets that include pre-selected FastPass+ reservations.
The ticket is broken down into several packages and the FastPass+ selections are pre-made and already linked to the purchased ticket so that guests purchasing last-minute tickets don’t have to worry about finding and making the reservations for themselves.
Here are the options available:
Magic Kingdom
- Fantasyland Classics – “it’s a small world”, Dumbo, and Mad Tea Party
- Futuristic and Frightful Fun – Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Haunted Mansion, and Tomorrowland Speedway
- Pint-Size Adventures – The Barnstormer, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and Pirates of the Caribbean
- Whimsical Escapades – Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
Epcot
- Immersive Explorations – Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends
- Delightful Encounters – The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Turtle Talk with Crush, and Journey Into Imagination with Figment
Hollywood Studios
- Sensational Stage Shows – Beauty and the Beast, Frozen Sing-Along, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid
- Movie-Inspired Entertainment – MuppetVision 3D, Star Tours, and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
Animal Kingdom
- Prehistoric and Whitewater Thrills – DINOSAUR, Kali River Rapids, and Primeval Whirl
- Wild Performances – Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo, and It’s Tough to be a Bug
This ticket has reservations for “tomorrow”, meaning that the FastPass+ selections that are premade are only valid on the next day. Regular FastPass+ selection limitations will be in place for these tickets, requiring you to use the three selections before additional ones can be made.
The pricing for these tickets will be the same as regular one-day tickets that do not include pre-made FastPass reservations.
Didn’t see any mention of times, or are can they be used at any time??
The biggest problem I see with these tickets – is that most of those attractions don’t need a fast pass; and those that could use them have plenty same-day availability. I wonder which type of visitor will see value in these tickets…
They are set the time. They’re not movable times. There’s two objectives to this. 1- The parks are having problems making enough income, and we’re trying to get MANY more people in the gates (ironic as staffing cut and lines are long). 2- By separating the immovable times, guests are held captive in the park longer, more time to ‘shop’. Always the intent of fast pass, not a guest convenience, but to keep people out of lines, and in stores buying stuff. 3- A slow shift to only giving fast passes when attached to a point of sale, the longer window for club level resort guests was step one, this is two, eventually, no ‘free’ fast passes. (Not meaning charging for them, but you must be upsold to get them)
What a missed opportunity. They could have done a more expensive one day ticket and actually given the people hard to get Fast Passes instead of this underwhelming selection.
Tokyo Disney has “vacation packages” which comes with fastpasses (which are free to use regardless of time). They have different level op fastpasses A,B,C and D. Only the D one is valid on the most popular attractions: Midway Mania as example. And you can only get them with the most expensive packages. While the cheaper packages comes with lower level fastpasses which are excluding these popular attractions. I can see a similar system coming to Orlando.
This seems pretty harmless for now. There is no up-charge and the attractions are not that popular (for the most part). I can see this evolving to them including FastPasses for popular, hard-to-get attractions and charging a premium for those wristbands. That would be another way to monetize FastPasses.
Most of these should be called rides and shows you do not need a fastpass for and if you do RUN! These selections are sure to impress first time visitors. I wonder how long until they just start charging for FP+ like Disneyland. It is not like you can get any good rides without booking months ahead of time anyways
Idk what you’re talking about. I booked a Peter Pan’s Flight fastpass reservation for three last week and then modified it to the time I’d prefer with minimal effort for a trip on Wednesday, and I’ve booked Space/Big Thunder/Splash Mountain day before/day of in March. Learn how to use the FP+ system instead of complaining that you can’t get good fastpasses.
(I also don’t see them selling max pass. But even then I’d rather pay $10 for unlimited fastpasses than the amount paid at Universal.)
