Starting this Summer at Disneyland Park, guests will be able to meet the newest addition to Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in a whole new meet and greet coming to New Orleans Square.

Redd, the name of the new redhead character, is a mysterious pirate who roams the Caribbean selling rum and collecting coins.

The reworked Pirates of the Caribbean attraction reopens at Disneyland Park on June 7th, 2018.

The new scene already debuted to mixed reviews in March at Walt Disney World and you can watch a video of it right here on WDWNT.

Even if they used the “real” redhead, you’d still strike out and go home alone again.

Political Correctness is bad business. Disney is getting too political.

And those of us who aren’t emotionally stunted and angry at theme park rides don’t really care.

Yet you go out of your way to insult others who simply choose to express their valid opinions.

Seems like you are emotionally stunted as you accuse others to be.

Political correctness has no place in a Disney park. Disney would better off changing Pirates back to its original form including the original chase scenes, no Jack Sparrow/Barbossa, and completely ignoring complaints about the attraction objectifying women, causing complainers to completely boycott all Disney products. This change won’t be for long, the anti-PC police will strike back and Pirates will be made great agin.
