The parks of the Disneyland Resort aren’t the only ones celebrating all things Pixar right now. The three Disney-run hotels are also being treated to a special PIXAR Fest overlay. In this photo report, we take a closer look at the limited-time happenings over at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.
Even before you enter the hotel’s lobby, all you have to do is look up and you’ll spy pictures of familiar Pixar characters from Cars, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., and The Incredibles. The art style is similar to that found on the current park maps and tickets.
Guests checking in are given a Pixar Fest-themed room key. Here is a look at the concierge level’s design.
Anyone who has stayed at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will tell you that their elevator system is, to put it politely, unique. Using control panels located near the hotel’s four elevators, you select your destination before entering. These panels are temporarily embellished with the faces of PIXAR characters, much like the ones found at the hotel’s entrance.
In place of the beach ball pillow typically found on the beds in the rooms, guests will find a pillow resembling the Luxo Ball seen at the opening of Pixar films and shorts.
The room’s amenities also received a themed upgrade. In addition to the the usual shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and shower gel, a shower cap and vanity kit, containing a nail file, facial pads, and ear tips, are also included. Those two are presented in Pixar-decorated boxes.
Other parts of the Pixar Fest overlay include Pixar films shown for the hotel’s Magical Night at the Movies on select evenings, as well as music from popular Pixar titles played in public areas, like the lobby and valet area.
From now until June 14, 2018, you can save 10% on most Sunday-through-Thursday night stays in Premium and Standard rooms at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, when you book through May 31, 2018. Your travel must be completed by June 15, 2018. Additional hotel offers are also available. Visit Small World, Big Fun today to get started on planning your next visit to the Disneyland Resort!
Considering the re-do of the whole Pier, I think it’s time to completely redesign the entire Paradise Pier Hotel into basically the Pixar Pier hotel. A full, top-to-bottom cosmetic enhancement for the hotel much like what was done for the DLH.
