The Pacific Wharf Cafe at Disney California Adventure is perhaps most commonly known for their outstanding sourdough bread bowls, but their seasonal bread puddings should not be overlooked either. For Spring 2018, the eatery is offering a Lemon-Blueberry Bread Pudding and it is nothing short of magical.
Lemon-Blueberry Bread Pudding – $5.39
Let’s start with the dessert’s presentation. It features a dollop of lightly-sweetened whipped cream, a sprig of mint, and cluster of fresh blueberries, all piled on top of the bread pudding, which is covered (but not soaked) in a lemon sauce. You can’t deny this dish has a rather classy look to it.
The bread pudding is delightfully eggy and has flecks of lemon zest, as well as fresh blueberries baked in. Cut this open and you will find a sizable amount of lemon curd as filling in the center. It was a nice surprise and the lemon curd was not overly tart.
