Disney Stands By Its Original Decision and Will Not Rehire James Gunn

Regardless of pressure from the cast of Guardians Of The Galaxy and a petition to reinstate James Gunn as director for Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 3, Disney will not be rehiring James Gunn.

Variety is reporting that James Gunn recently met with Disney Studios chairman, Alan Horn, and that Horn conveyed to Gunn that the decision made by Disney was final.

Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, although a proponent for giving Gunn a second chance, is said to stand by the decision made by Disney to not rehire Gunn.

Disney and Marvel will now move forward with Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 3 and search for a new director to helm the film.

      • What Cosby did was wrong, no doubt. What Gunn did is just plain sick and disgusting? Did you read Gunn’s tweets? Have you seen pictures of him at the pedo parties? Absolutely deplorable.

  1. It’s a strange day when Disney’s willing to fire one of their top directors due to the wishes of the guy who invented the Pizzagate conspiracy. So much for GOTG3. Glad all of the other studios are lining up to hire the guy immediately.
