REVIEW: Roaring Fork’s Oktoberfest Guinness Cupcake at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

We love Wilderness Lodge. The food, the restaurants, the atmosphere, every ounce of the resort is perfect. Roaring Fork is one of the two quick service spots at the resort making good eats on the ground level near the feature pool. You may recall that Mickey Waffles are available all day here! This weekend we visited the resort and found Roaring Fork getting ready for Fall with a brand new Oktoberfest cupcake.

This chocolate cupcake is made with Guinness. The stout adds a second level of complex chocolate flavor to the interior. There’s even another bit of chocolate, in the form of ganache, deep in the center of the cupcake. The buttercream on top has a hint of cinnamon. To finish the top there’s two chocolate covered pretzels and a chocolate beer bottle, all delicious in their own way. We’ve been having quite a few cupcakes over the last few months and it’s great to finally have a unique, tasty cupcake that’s not drowning in glitter or rose gold.

  1. Because to enjoy a cupcake, it must have beer poured into it!

And the little Chocolate “beer bottle” is to demonstrate to others that you are COOL because you have a BEER Cupcake….

And the two mini pretzels inserted on either side of the Chocolate Beer Bottle are to symbolize Mickey Ears, and become the new ICON for Disney, centered around a Beer Bottle…

only $5.99? Clearly the price should be at least $8.99… Let’s correct this immediately.
