Kathy Mangum, Walt Disney Imagineer, Retiring End Of 2018

Kathy Mangum, Senior Vice President Walt Disney World Portfolio Executive – Walt Disney Imagineering, will be retiring at the end of 2018 after 40 years with the company.

During an IAAPA panel discussion about Inspiring Women of Disney Parks, Mangum announced her retirement. She was introduced by the 2019-2020 Walt Disney World ambassador Marilyn West , when Mangum came forward that she would be retiring at the end of this year.

Mangum joined the Walt Disney Company in 1976. Her best known work includes Cars Land at Disney California Adventure, The Seas With Nemo & Friends, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, and much, much more. Her most recent contributions are the reimagining of the infamous Auction scene on Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story Land, and the upcoming Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy coming to Hollywood Studios in early 2019.
