Hello, Animal Kingdom! Let’s see what exciting new things you have in store for us.
Well, first off, DiVine is here today! I haven’t seen her in ages, but to be honest that might just be because she’s perfectly camouflaged to her surroundings.
In Dinoland U.S.A., Donald’s Dino-Bash is still going strong.
Work continues on this Wilderness Explorers spot near DINOSAUR.
The Fossil Badge station has been moved over here, just at the end of the extended queue. Scrooge McDuck took its old spot over by Restaurantasaurus.
Nothing really new to speak of in Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, but just look at these decorations!
In Africa, Rafiki’s Planet Watch is closed for the season. They have a cast member reminding everyone that the train does not currently run.
They have, however, moved all of the Wilderness Explorer badges that used to be at Planet Watch into the train queue. Five in one spot! Talk about efficiency.
Africa also has, in my opinion, the most creative Christmas decor out of all of the parks.
They don’t seem to celebrate any holidays in Pandora, unfortunately. They did rearrange in Windtraders, though. There’s a bit more walking space now.
They’re also selling the Pin Quest starter set. Is this the first example of Disney character merchandise being sold in Windtraders?
Back on Discovery Island, they have a kiosk set up for information about Pizzafari (family dining specifically) and Tiffins. They must be having trouble filling seats.
The otter enclosure is still under refurbishment. A cast member said it will be “done when it’s done”. Hopefully whatever they’re doing to it, the otters enjoy the new space.
Character Landing actually had a character in it today! Ever since Pocahontas vacated to the base of the Tree of Life, it’s been rare to see anyone over here. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Thumper from Bambi.
Don’t expect him there every day. He had no times posted. It was a pleasant surprise for myself and the rest of the guests.
I don’t think I’ve seen Thumper out and about since I was a kid.
