Today marks the reopening of the Tambu Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort after several months of closure for remodeling. Despite our worst fears, the changes are pretty minor overall.
The bar itself was reconfigured behind the counter, a welcome change for cast members at the location.
The counter-top is no longer stone and underneath the counter, guests will find charging ports.
The most modified thing ended up being the menu.
The food menu is quite different…
Despite not being on the menu, guests can still order the famous Ohana Bread Pudding and Chicken Wings from before. Sadly, the nachos are a thing of the past.
Can you still order the Ohana Bread Pudding during dinner time ?
Yup
Very happy to see that there weren’t major changes here. We absolutely LOVE stopping here at least once during every trip to Disney.
Where is my bread pudding! Seriously, I need my bread pudding. Is that really so much to ask? I spend tens of thousands of dollars on a vacation, and I just want to be able to slip into the bar and eat my bread pudding. Ok, I also want a Lapu Lapu, but since those made the new menu, I am not in mourning for the Lapu Lapu.
I am endeavoring to refrain from the use of foul and profane language, but where, in the name of all that is holy, is my bread pudding?
From the last line of the article:
“Despite not being on the menu, guests can still order the famous Ohana Bread Pudding and Chicken Wings from before.”
The pulled pork nachos were available at Captain Cooks last week, they were fantastic!
Those aren’t the same.
