There’s a most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational reason to look forward to 2019.

Recently, Kermit the Frog was interviewed by Los Angeles TV station KCAL to promote his appearance in the stage show “The Wonderful Winter of Oz.” During the interview, Kermit was asked what was next for Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and the rest of the Muppet gang, to which the famed amphibian replied: “…well, we’ve got a big surprise planned for the new year. I’d tell you what it was, but I don’t know what it is either.”

Reports have been made about a potential Muppet series coming to Disney+, but Disney has yet to officially confirm anything. In 2017, the Muppets performed a series of live shows at the Hollywood Bowl, which was reprised this year at London’s O2 Arena. There’s been no reports of another set of shows, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Most recently, the Muppets were guests on Carpool Karaoke: The Series with Jason Sudeikis. All we know at the moment is that next year, the Muppets will be doing… something.
