Shanghai Disneyland Introduces Annual Passes For First Time in Park’s History

For the first time in the park’s history, Shanghai Disneyland has introduced annual passes to the park, effective as of January 25, 2019.

There are three options of annual pass to choose from: Sunday, Weekday + Sunday, and Anyday. The Sunday Annual Pass runs ¥1299 for adults, and ¥974 for children, elderly, and disabled guests (approximately $192 and $144, respectively), while the Weekday + Sunday Annual Pass costs ¥1599 for adults and ¥1199 for children, elderly, and disabled guests (approximately $237 and $178, respectively), and the Anyday Annual Pass costs ¥3299 for adults and ¥2474 for children, elderly, and disabled guests (approximately $489 and $367, respectively).

As with most Disney Parks annual passes, certain conditions and blackouts apply.

  • Anyday Annual Pass: 365 days of park access, may exclude some park hours for special events
  • Weekday + Sunday Annual Pass: Subject to the pass calendar, offers a minimum of 250 days of park access during pass validity period, includes most weekdays, Sundays, and part of the Summer and Winter Holidays
  • Sunday Annual Pass: Subject to the pass calendar, offers a minimum of 45 days of park access during pass validity period, includes most Sundays

As of the writing of this article, Shanghai Disneyland has posted their blackout calendar through May 2019:

  • Approximately 20% off all dining at Shanghai Disneyland and the two resort hotels
  • Approximately 20% off at Shanghai Disney Resort shops
  • Up to 12 Early Park Entries (Anyday Annual Passholders only)
  • Annual Pass Holder shopping and dining benefits in Disneytown
  • Surprise discounts on Shanghai Disney Resort hotel room rates and on tickets to the Mandarin production of the Beauty and the Beast Musical
