Improvements Coming to Epcot Park Entrance Including Covered Bag Check and More Metal Detectors

Recently, we covered improvements to the bus loops at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well as an upcoming shaded bag check area coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. Although big changes are on the horizon for Epcot’s entrance, other improvements to the park’s entrance will be coming very soon as they finalize construction work in the coming weeks.

Work has been going on in the bag check/main entrance for a few months now.

The entire park entrance is set to be refreshed. This includes parking tram lanes, adding additional cover/shades to the bag check area, and walkway improvements. Additional screening stations, as well as metal detectors will also be installed.

These are all part of Resort-wide improvements to the guest flow at the parks, with park entrance revamps and added security changes being implemented in every park. Stay tuned to WDW News Today as we bring you the latest developments and updates on this project.
