REVIEW: Beaches & Cream Soda Shop’s New Spring Shake is a Dreamsicle Come True

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is arguably one of the best places to get ice cream at Disney. It’s home to the Kitchen Sink, as well as several specialty milkshakes. We’ve enjoyed past seasonal milkshakes, so when we spotted a sign for a new “Spring Milkshake”, we couldn’t wait to try it.

This dreamsicle flavored shake comes served in a plastic souvenir mason jar you can take home. It has the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop logo on the front of the jar, the Beach Club logo on the opposite.

The appearance isn’t as impressive as some of the other shakes offered, but looks aren’t everything. Two round fruity crisped rice treats sit atop the whip cream like Mickey ears. These Fruity Pebbles treats make a colorful, and flavorful, addition to the shake. Total win. They’re amazing and super fresh. And of course, there’s whipped cream and a cherry on top.

Now, you might be thinking that a dreamsicle shake is gonna taste pretty basic. Well, you’d be wrong. The first sip of this seasonal shake left me wondering why the Orange Bird Sipper cups couldn’t be filled with this delicious drink instead. I could drink this every day. The flavor that stands out most is orange, obviously, but we could taste other subtle fruity flavors as we sipped it down. The flavor was more fruity, and less creamy.

We were told the secrets to making this drink, which explains a lot! It’s a combination of rainbow sherbet, vanilla ice cream, and orange juice. Oh, and marshmallow sauce is drizzled on the inside of the souvenir cup! We’ve encountered specialty shakes that leave you scrapping out the souvenir cup after you’re finished, but this one you will be able to lick clean. Just don’t do it in public, please.

You’ve been warned how amazing this shake is. And for $14, it’s worth it. Skip the Orange Bird Cream Slush and go right to Beaches & Cream for the Spring Dreamsicle Shake. You won’t regret it.
