REVIEW: Dumbo’s Magic Feather Brownie Lands at Storybook Circus in the Magic Kingdom

What a time to be alive! Walt Disney World has been giving us a plethora of character themed cupcakes and ice cream lately. Well, you can now add the Dumbo Magic Feather Brownie to your Magic Kingdom snack list.

Dumbo Brownie

Whether you’re excited about the new Dumbo movie, or just a fan of the animated classic, you can now find this specialty brownie right outside of Storybook Circus. These chocolate peanut butter brownies are served from the popcorn carts, in small containers with plastic lids. It’s a pretty nice portion for $5.00, and the container makes it easy to transport around the park. So far, so good!

Dumbo Brownie

This peanut butter chocolate brownie is topped with chocolate ganache, roasted peanuts, and a decorative feather and peanut. The feather is made of white chocolate and the peanut is made of peanut butter chocolate. It looks delicious.

Dumbo Brownie

We dig into the brownie with ease and get a spoonful of the perfect combination of the three flavors. You can see the two distinct layers where the chocolate and peanut butter meet. The thick, creamy chocolate ganache topping brings the whole thing together.

Dumbo Brownie

Although this is a chocolate peanut butter brownie, the chocolate flavor takes over. It’s rich and chocolatey, but it’s kind of missing the peanut butter flavor. The chocolate ganache on top is almost like a frosting, and towards the end of the brownie, we scraped it off to try just the brownie alone. The brownie is good, but it’s not as unique as, for example, a flying elephant. It’s a brownie with peanut butter batter baked throughout, so that’s hard to mess up. You could taste much more of the peanut butter flavor in the brownie with the chocolate frosting out of the way, though.

The white chocolate feather on top is pretty self-explanatory. The peanut-shaped decoration was a little more confusing. It’s supposed to be peanut butter flavored, and maybe after all that chocolate, we couldn’t differentiate the flavors, but it just tasted like an oddly-flavored chocolate piece. However, it is adorable, and we appreciate the effort!
