CONFIRMED: “Beauty and the Beast” Inspired Bar and Lounge Coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Disney has just confirmed rumors that a new “Beauty and the Beast”-inspired lounge is coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa this fall. The enchanting lounge will celebrate the magic and romance of the popular Disney live-action movie.

Formerly Mizner’s Lounge and Commander Porter’s, this re-imagined lounge will feature four unique spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast.

  • The signature bar will glow from the light of a magnificent gold chandelier that takes its inspiration from Belle’s flowing ball gown, with subtle nods to the Beast’s magical rose.
  • The formal library showcases classical baroque designs and French furnishings inspired by Belle, with hints of the Beast’s friends.
  • The garden room will be a whimsical space that draws its inspiration from the enchanted forest surrounding Beast’s castle.
  • An outdoor patio will evoke the romance of Beast’s garden terrace.

With charm and elegance to be found around every turn, this quaint bar and lounge will be the place where you can put our service to the test and share a tale as old as time.

If you’re in need of some sustenance, a pop-up version of Mizner’s Lounge currently resides on the first floor of the Grand Floridian, right by the Garden View Tea Room.

  1. Getting drinks in belle’s library…sounds like fun and would want to make a special trip….getting drinks under a belle inspired lamp, not so much.

  2. I said this on another Disney discussion board… and echo others’ thoughts.

I’m not getting the connection between B&B and the GF.

Why wasn’t this a design to place, perhaps, in the new Rivera Resort…which I thought was themed (by name alone) to the French Rivera and all things. From Disney’s website specifically saying “Disney’s Rivera Resort will celebrate the grandeur of Europe – which has long inspired some of the greatest Disney stories with its castles and fairy-tale villages.”

Wouldn’t it be a better fit there? Rather than Victorian-themed GF with its nods to Mary Poppins, for one?

  3. First “Woody’s Roundup BBQ Buffet” at Contemporary, now this. Disney is caring less and less about theming every year.
