The Magic Kingdom is truly one of my favorite places in the entire world, and I would rather spend the day here than almost any other place in the world, even when it feels like a thousand degrees outside and I’m melting.

I’m loving the addition of these patriotic banners draping the tops of the buildings along Main Street, U.S.A. It really adds to the theming of the turn-of-the-century idealized American town for me.

Caseys corner

One of the perks of getting to the parks at open is catching these quiet, empty moments. It feels so surreal and otherworldly seeing Casey’s Corner this empty.

Cinderella Castle
We love a refilled moat.

tomorrowland painting

In Tomorrowland, it looks like the repainting project is close to wrapping up. I spotted this new addition of the gradient gray stripes along the top of Merchant of Venus.

The stripes extend all the way to the top of the wall and can be seen from the PeopleMover.

Speaking of the PeopleMover, I spotted significant progress to the track installation at TRON Lightcycle Power Run on my Grand Circle Tour of Tomorrowland today. It’s seriously exciting to see this attraction coming together so quickly.

castle couture

So… about Castle Couture. The scrim is still up, BUT I did find out what they’re working on around there. The Castle Couture Merchandise location has been taken over as additional space for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique location.

It will no longer be accessible to all Guests, only those with reservations for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, so I hope you got your last glimpse of Flora and Merryweather changing the colors on Aurora’s dress before today. Princess dresses and accessories are still available to purchase at Sir Mickey’s, right across the street.

cinderella castle pathway widening

Progress is still coming along on the pathway widening project by Cinderella Castle. I’m still eager for this to reopen, I miss the views and I miss my shortcut.

tortuga tavern

The walls are down around Tortuga Tavern, and they are back open and serving the same menu.

aloha isle

The Hei Hei cone and the raspberry Dole Whip is still missing from the menu at Aloha Isle, which supports the claim that this time, its permanent. I’m pretty bummed about this development, the raspberry Dole Whip flavor was by far my favorite, and I hope we see this possibly pop up at another location soon.

ye olde Christmas shoppe

That’s about it from my day at Magic Kingdom today, but I’ll leave you with this reminder from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe that I walked past today. There’s only about 200 days until Christmas, so everything is going to be okay. Keep checking WDWNT for more updates!

  1. Long before “Castle Couture” opened it was “Tinkerbelles Treasures” … I have fond memories of working in the shop going back 20 years .. I was also on the opening team for Bibbiddi Bobbeddi Boutique so I am anxiously awaiting what changes, additions are being made.
