Calling all Space Rangers! An all-new Lunch Box Tart has moseyed on over to Woody’s Lunch Box at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The Lemon-Blueberry Tart replaces the old Raspberry Tart. Thankfully, the Chocolate-Hazelnut tart is still available alongside the new offering. We just had to give this one a try!
RIP Raspberry Lunch Box Tart. You were good to us. Plus, we can’t forget about the long-gone Cinnamon Cran-Apple Lunch Box Tart. Gone, but never forgotten.
Lemon-Blueberry Lunch Box Tart – $4.29
The new Tart has blue frosting, with white chocolate candy balls on top, and a Pixar Ball chocolate pice.
The tart tasted really fresh and the crust was chewy and easy to bite into. The frosting wasn’t over-hardened, a classic indicator of an old Lunch Box Tart. Trust me, you don’t want an old Lunch Box Tart!
The Instagram opportunities are endless with this one. Look at how well that Pixar Ball compliments the larger Pixar Ball behind it. Now that’s art.
The inside of the tart features both lemon and blueberry filling. I noticed the lemon filling greatly overpowered the blueberry. The lemon filling seemed to be more towards the outside of the tart, while the blueberry filling ran right down the center. Perhaps this was why I picked up much more lemon? Regardless, the tart was solid and the summer flavors made it a perfect snack to eat during a warm park day.
One interesting thing I noticed was that the Pixar Ball chocolate piece was hollow. It was white chocolate, and a nice touch for the tart. The crisp candy balls also added a continuous, crunchy texture to the tart which I felt was necessary and complimented the tart well.
Overall, this is possibly the best tart Woody’s Lunch Box has featured so far. The summer tastes work well to create a fruity tart full of flavor and freshness. The Pixar Ball also adds a cute element perfect for pictures. I’d highly recommend picking up this new offering during your next trip to Andy’s back yard!
