Calling all football fans! Disney has announced a new offering for the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. In conjunction with ESPN’s Monday Night Football, Tailgate Tasting will allow guests to sample food from the host city of that weeks Monday Night Football game.

This is how Disney describes the event:

During this 45-minute program, you’ll enjoy a flight of 3 sample-sized food items, served with a complementary beverage tasting, inspired by the cities playing in the Monday night game each week. The best part—you’ll get a chance to learn from culinary experts how to make these dishes at home!

The event costs $19 per person, plus tax and is located at the World ShowPlace Events Pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot. Tailgate Tasting will occur every Sunday from September 8 to November 17, 2019.

Guests can call (407) 939-3378 to make a reservation or book online here. If you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member, you may book by calling Member Services at (800) 800-9800.

This is a decent idea but it is starting off 100% WRONG. This is meant to play off the food/drink offerings inspired by teams playing on Monday Night Football. Looking at the schedule there are 2 games to open the season on September 7th. The first game is Houston vs New Orleans and the second game is Denver vs Oakland. What shortsighted idiot at Disney was more inspired by the drinks and cuisine of Denver/Oakland over New Orleans/Houston. I would bet money NO ONE can give me an answer to satisfy me. GO AHEAD, I DARE YOU.

Is it Monday night or Sunday night? We just called to book for November 3rd which is a Sunday. Disney said it’s for the 49ers and Seahawks.

Just looked up the team schedules and I think you are correct! Glad we decided to book anyway.

You failed to mention that this event was free last year but now they’re charging for it.
