If you’re a fan of Disney Channel’s Descendants, you’ll now have two ways to celebrate them across Walt Disney World. Over at Disney Springs, the Disney DescenDANCE Party will be rocking the Marketplace Stage for a limited time from July 26 – August 11, 2019.
Over at the Magic Kingdom, the DescenDANCE Party fun will be taking over the stage at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café as an added feature during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, offered select nights at Magic Kingdom Park starting August 16. A similar party will be taking over the Backlot area of Hollywood Land in Disney’s California Adventure for Oogie Boogie Bash.
At both Disney DescenDANCE Parties, guests can hit the dance floor to some wickedly good beats, snap and share great pics at a pair of cool photo ops, and catch on-screen shout-outs from some of the stars of the movie.
The third installment of the Descendants franchise, “Descendants 3”, premieres on August 2 at 8 p.m. on Disney Channel.

RIP Cameron Boyce, gone too soon. My teen daughter is still upset over his passing. In a way, I’m glad she is not coming with me to Disneyland in October or she could be upset by the DescenDance stuff we might see while we’re in DCA on our party night. My friend and I (two gals in their late 40s and early 50s, and my friend hasn’t been to Disneyland since the early ’90s) might still take a peek at it. Also, I hope ABC surprises us again (well, it was a surprise to me last time) and airs Descendants 3 on network TV around the same time they put it on cable, since my household does not have cable. We found D2 by accident last time while flipping channels. And we hope Disney+ will stream all the episodes of Jessie, my kid’s favorite “old” Disney show – it would be the only way to get it and see Cameron again in his much younger days, since Netflix no longer has it and it’s not on dvd. That and seeing all of Phineas & Ferb again would make the streaming service worth it to us. Maybe we’ll go a friend’s house to see D3 on their Disney Channel or we can wait for the dvd release. Sorry for rambling. This is the only site where I could maybe say anything about Cameron.
