PHOTOS: Cinderella Castle Pathway Extension Walls Receive Painted Brick Accents at the Magic Kingdom

Another day, another Cinderella Castle Pathway update. Except this time, it’s a rather exciting one. Last we checked in on the pathway, some brick work had gone up, but most of it was grey and lacked any color. Today, we spotted the first of the final touches being made on the pathway. The brick wall is being painted… brick red.

Contractors are working hard painstakingly painting each brick along each course. The red really pops against the white grout, and matches the color scheme of neighboring Liberty Square.

More of the dirt along the path has been leveled by the Fantasyland side.

The concrete section below the brick has been scored, but we still don’t know what it will be overlaid with.

If you recall the days of pre-path widening past, very little of the wall was exposed as it was mainly covered by shrubbery.

The new brick wall offers a nice pop of color. You can see that similar brickwork lines the interior of the wall as well.

Still more dirt leveling left to do near the Liberty Square end of the path.

We’re happy to see the little nook/alcove where the wrought iron benches used to be make a comeback. Paint and more leveling means we’re inching closer to the finish line on this project! We’ll bring you more up-to date news on the status of this beloved pathway as work progresses.
