UPDATE: Disney Parks Officially Issues Voluntary Recall of Forky Plush Due To Choking Hazard

Well, it’s official, folks. Forky is trash. Disney Parks has officially issued a voluntary recall on the popular 11″ plush that was released leading up to the premiere of Toy Story 4 due to a manufacturing defect and potential choking hazard.

We reported on the sudden disappearance of the plush from store shelves across Walt Disney World back in June after merchandise Cast Members at retail locations across the resort were instructed to pull any remaining Forky plushes from shelves and displays.

The plush, while adorable and incredibly close to Forky’s design in the film, poses a choking hazard by way of the googly eyes, which have reportedly fallen off on multiple plush, as well as the poseable wire arms, which also come off.

Disney Parks asks that any guests who purchased the plush call 866-537-7649 or return the item to any North America Disney/Disney Parks store for a full refund.

  1. Of course, this doesn’t have ANYTHING to do with the fact that it looks like it’s flipping people off

  2. Ha ha. A sign of the times I guess. I suppose it would be more realistic in Toy Story 4 for Bonnie’s teacher to confiscate Forky as a hazard to Bonnie’s safety. Either that or Bonnie shows Forky to her parents and the parents call the school threatening to sue for child endangerment…

  3. Disney needs to sell better quality stuff…you are better off buying from Walmart if in the Orlando area
