Liberty Inn officially closes today as part of the ongoing transformation of Epcot and it will transform into Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue. This all-new concept will feature classic Americana with barbecue paired with craft beers on tap.

Walls up are now up around the restaurant in preparation for the upcoming Regal Eagle eatery. Cast Members had a special commemorative closing potluck just yesterday.

Restrooms, as well as the Kidcot station, are still open even with the walls up.

The new location will be a modern barbecue smokehouse, with all the accompanying sights, sounds, smells, and flavors guests can look forward to – including a large smoker preparing fine food every day right on the pavilion’s promenade. There will also be a redesigned patio for guests to enjoy, so get ready to grab a brew, some barbecue, and relax inside Epcot.

The new fast-casual restaurant is set to open later this year at Epcot, so construction in the area will be ongoing. We’ll keep you updated with all the latest construction walls and changes to the area!

Am I the only one who sees the name of the new restaurant and want to say The Regal Beagle from “Three’s Company” fame?
