Back in June, we shared that a new parade is coming to Disneyland Park in 2020. And last weekend at D23 Expo 2019, Disney confirmed this daytime parade would be debuting next Spring. At the “Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products” panel, it was revealed there would be Moana, Coco, and Sleeping Beauty-themed floats. And now, thanks to a Disney Auditions listing, we know of other characters that will be featured in the new Magic Happens parade coming to Disneyland.
According to the Disney Auditions website:
Disney Parks Live Entertainment is seeking Character Look-Alikes in Male and Female Roles for Magic Happens, a new daytime spectacular making its grand debut on the streets of Disneyland® Park in early 2020.
One of the roles being cast is that of Moana. She will journey forth on the crest of a beautiful wave, inspired by beautiful koa wood carvings inset with LED panels, providing a dazzling glimpse into the magic the ocean holds.
The roles of Princess Aurora, Prince Phillip, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather are also being cast for the regal grand finale.
But here is where the magic really happens: the audition listing reveals more characters that will be featured in this parade! Those characters include:
- Fairy Godmother
- Princess Tiana
- Prince Naveen
- Peter Pan
- Tinker Bell
- Blue Fairy
Characters will be returning from Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, such as Aladdin, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, Princess Tiana, and Cinderella. But we’re most excited about the new characters that we haven’t seen yet in a parade at Disneyland, like Kristoff, Prince Naveen, Merlin, and Arthur!
With a cast of new and returning characters, plus a new song produced in partnership with singer-songwriter Todrick Hall, this daytime parade is sure to be a big hit.
