Between the tour and floor plans, guest transportation system, and expected pricing, there’s little we left uncovered before the official D23 Expo announcements that came out this past weekend, but the loth cat’s out of the bag now.
Disney’s begun releasing official concept art (as opposed to the blurry shots of the D23 panel presentation), as well as detailed descriptions of the Starcruiser’s offerings aboard the Halcyon on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser’s official landing page.
Here’s the epic Halcyon ship, a member of the Chandrila Star Line fleet and your home for 2 nights aboard the Galactic Starcruiser experience.
The Atrium
Here we have the atrium again. Note they’re sticking to the cruise-like feel here, and it isn’t named a lobby. Except unlike the Disney Cruise Line, you don’t have gold statues of Disney characters. You have stormtroopers interrogating guests. Disney describes the atrium as “the heart of the Halcyon.”
The Bridge
As we covered earlier in our full tour of the Halcyon, this is the Bridge area of the starcruiser, where you can operate the ship’s navigation and defense systems under the crew’s guidance.
The bridge of the ship will feature tons of interactive stations guests can play with, but they’ll be used more seriously when an attack from the First Order is mounted.
Guests may also have to fix things in the engineering room, but if they misbehave across the ship, they may be taken to a special bridge for warning.
Lightsaber Training
Here’s the fan-dubbed “lightsaber dojo”, where you can put your lightsaber skills to the test while facing off against a training remote, where you may discover your own connection with the Force.
The Engineering Room
Here’s another new section, a kids play area described as a “crew-only portion of the Halcyon” where young travelers can discover the inner workings of the ship’s systems. Much like the Disney Cruise Line’s Oceaneer Club/Lab, this looks like an expansive, interactive area that kids will love (and adults will surely drop in for during open hours hours.)
The Silver C Lounge
Here’s the starcruiser’s Silver C Lounge, where you can “sip a drink in this stylish lounge, a warm and inviting retreat for passengers of all ages.” It appears you can also try your hand at a game at Sabacc, but we’ll have to see how that plays out as the project progresses. Do note that it is still unclear as to whether this is part of the rumored Star Wars Dinner Show that may be coming to the Starcruiser as well.
Start banking those credits now, because you’re going to need to steal a lot of coaxium to afford to stay aboard the Halcyon and dine at the very-exclusive dinner show restaurant in a few years’ time.
