Boo to you! We all lost it last year when Walt Disney World released its first holiday-specific resort refillable mug during Halloween. (I know because I spent two days running all over property looking for them.) It appears the tradition continues as a Christmas mug was also released in 2018, and now, there’s a brand-new Halloween mug out for 2019.
The mugs cost $18.99 and include refills on soft drinks, coffee, and tea at all RapidFill resort locations. If you’re staying offsite or are just an Annual Passholder passing by, you can still purchase these as well. If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, each person on the plan gets their choice of refillable mug, included as part of the package. No Annual Passholder discounts are allowed on these mugs.
This year’s mug features a black mug handle and cover with patterns of Mickey-eared ghosts and candy. Square vignettes feature Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, and Chip ‘n’ Dale in their spooky getups, with a sign that says “Happy Halloween.” (I’m disappointed to note that this year’s mug does not include the year. Last year’s specifically said “Happy Halloween 2018” and I’m a sucker for commemorative stuff.)
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is the first resort we’re seeing to carry the mugs. You can find them at the Pepper Marke––I mean, El Mercado del Coronado quick service.
They’ll surely be rolled out to all Walt Disney World resorts in the coming weeks. If you happen to spy one where you’re staying, make sure you buy it while supplies last, because unlike the generic designs, these do come in limited supply, and do tend to run out.
