The world’s going to get a little more magical in Disney/Pixar’s new film, Onward.
Disney released a new poster as part of Walt Disney Studios’ presentation at the 2019 D23 Expo.
The film stars Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Octavia Spencer in a world where magical creatures have been around a long time… and manged to turn out just like us. Holland and Pratt’s characters, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, set off on a quest to try and find a magic spell that will allow them to spend one more day with their late father. Disney also released a still from the film, showing Ian’s struggle with the magic:
The footage shown at the Expo reportedly shows what happens next: the spell works… sort of, as their father returns from the waist down. Another clip showed them hiding this little mishap as they search for a gas station to fill up their van. Hopefully, that’s just the beginning of the story. We also learned more about Spencer’s character, named Manracore. Manracore will provide guidance to the brothers as they attempt to use this magic.

Onward quests into theaters on March 6th, 2020.
