Do, or do not… there is no try. Well, this new Yoda Cone isn’t even even trying.

Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Resort has joined in on the Star Wars themed food offerings by adding a new Yoda Cone to their menu. This is basically a combination of the Heart of Te Fiti Cone (lime Dole Whip) and the Stitch Cone (white chocolate ears). We decided to check it out, and we were left confused and cracking up.

A really cute and colorful sign sits near the register advertising the Yoda Cone for $5.99.

This is exactly what we were handed. A beautiful cone with ONE ear stuck in at the very top. One ear. Only one. Yoda van Gogh. We had to laugh at the one-eared Yoda, though. We figured there may have been some confusion, since this is a new offering, so we asked for the second ear. After some hesitation from the Cast Member, he reluctantly added a second ear to our ice cream.

Nailed it. Looks exactly as advertised. Before anybody asks about our green bunny cone, we decided to fix it.

That’s more Yoda-like. Maybe. The white chocolate pieces are exactly the same ear, so one ear will always be upside down on these cones. This seems like such a fail compared to other Star Wars themed foods, like the beautiful Galactic Funnel Cake from Epic Eats. They didn’t even print out actual Yoda ears… these are just nondescript leaf-like shapes.

As much as we love lime Dole Whip and Yoda, this really didn’t impress us. We are still laughing about the one-eared Yoda, though. If you’re going to order a lime Dole Whip here, you may as well order the Yoda Cone, but definitely don’t go out of your way for it.
