We come to you today with a bunch of photos from the entrance area of the Magic Kingdom! As you may remember, Disney is reimagining the entire entrance area of the Magic Kingdom in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.

We will start by looking at the former boat dock for the Grand Floridian Resort and Polynesian Resort.

You can see that the walkway has been torn up and the dock blocked off for construction work.

The pathway will be restructured and the dock will be relocated further down the path to the future Magic Kingdom to Grand Floridian Resort walkway. That path will utilize the bridge that is currently under construction.

Construction walls are up along the pathway to the Transportation & Ticket Center Ferry.

Pathways where the new, permanent security structure will be erected, have been completely torn up.

You can see how large and how close to the current security checkpoint the construction area is.

Here is a look at the construction area from ground level so you can see the extent of the work.

Walls are up for the construction on the Grand Floridian and Polynesian boat dock, now with lanterns added.

Let’s Boo This!

At least the construction wall pathway lights are themed!

Stay tuned to WDWNT for updates on the project and many more.
