During the night of September 9th and 10th 2019, guests staying at any of the monorail resorts (Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort) should be aware construction will be taking place. The construction should occur only during nighttime hours for the upcoming bridge that will connect the Magic Kingdom and Transportation and Ticket Center to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
We first reported on this bridge back in July and have been following the progress closely. Honestly, we’re okay with a little noise every now and then if it means we can walk to the happiest place on earth.
If you happen to be staying at one of these resorts during the next few days, drop us a comment below and let us know if you hear anything!
We are at the Grand Floridian on September 10, 2019, we will let you know if we hear anything.
Glad this is coming, as a bus driver I’ve witnessed many people, for whatever reason wanting to walk from ttc to the magic kingdom area. Hopefully this will cut down on pedestrians walking too close to the narrow street with many large vehicles zooming underneath the water bridge.
We are staying at The Grand Floridian (park view) and are about as close to the construction as can be. I hear the boats horns more than I heard any construction last night.
