Thanks to D23 (and even a bit before then) we got to learn more about the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction taking over the Universe of Energy at Epcot.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot will feature the first reverse launch into space! This thrilling, family-friendly attraction will feature a never-before-seen storytelling coaster that rotates to focus on the action – wherever it may be. Disney also revealed that the attraction will in fact be Disney Parks’ first reverse-launch coaster.

We’d first gotten a look at design concepts for these ride vehicles during last year’s IAAPA conference. However, thanks to some Dutch roller coaster enthusiasts over on the themepark.nl forums, it appears we have our first images of the actual ride vehicles that will be used for the attraction.

The ride vehicles first appeared covered by tarps, but thankfully, one was removed, leaving the full ride vehicle out in sight:

The ride vehicles are currently testing on tracks at the attraction’s manufacturer (Vekoma) testing site.
