It’s time for Disney Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort! And one of my favorite parts of any Tokyo Disney Resort event is the array of snacks and food items available! In this series of reviews, I’ll be detailing every single new snack and counter-service item. I honestly don’t know how to write a good segue in to this idea, so I’ll just dive right in. The Creamy Scallop Croquette on Chinese Bun set is a bit of a mouthful, both in literary and literal terms. But may be surprised to hear that this actually tastes pretty good! So, here’s the word!

Creamy Scallop Croquette on Chinese Bun Set – ¥990 ($9.16)

This set gets the same wrapper as the Shrimp Cutlet sandwich over at Camp Woodchuck Kitchen. I quite like this design, to be honest.

And of course the fact that the bun is shaped like a pumpkin (including Jack-O-Lantern) face is a huge plus for me! I’m a sucker for the cute food designs they do here!

As for the taste, there honestly isn’t a whole lot of scallop in the taste itself. I found more of a creamy taste with light onion. I honestly was reminded a bit of a soupy Big Mac, but for the life of me I can’t figure out why! If you buy the full set, this also comes with french fries and a soft drink, and it definitely is a good deal! This sandwich is fairly filling, with a nice (but not overwhelming) seafood taste. I’d definitely call it a safe choice for American visitors (unless seafood isn’t particularly your thing). Plus, it comes with both the unique Halloween wrapper and the special Toontown-themed fries cup and beverage cup! I absolutely recommend the Creamy Scallop Croquette on Chinese Bun set if you’re visiting Tokyo Disneyland this season!
