I really like this idea but the cost is a bit crazy. $35 for a USB stick that takes them a few minutes to copy all your pictures onto when you already paid a minimum of $170? I really like physical media but $35 is a bit extreme. $10-15 and I would be a customer for sure.

Wow Disney is cutting every corner they can right now.
I just preordered memory maker, and I thought you can just download the photos from a website. Why would I buy this?
Just for the convenience of having it on physical media and a backup copy that is easily labeled. For instance, right now you download and have to make a copy in case of a hard drive failure. And if you want a print you would then need a USB or SD card to take to a print shop like Walgreens or Walmart. Much cheaper to buy a $5-10 USB stick and copy yourself. $35 is insane.
Does anyone have a link to where to go to purchase this. Can’t find it anywhere at the suggested web page.
When you download the photos certain metadata is missing such as GPS and the date of the photo. If I purchase the USB will the photos contain the date the photo was taken as well as the GPS information?
Ive been downloading my memory maker files for 3 days now. Yes, you can “Download All” but it comes out a jumbled mess becaue the files are missing metadata so you dont have the date of the photo or anythng. And its named randomly with gibberish so you cant even sort them. So Im essentially downloading one by one to get a numerical filename (550185615.jpg, 550186553.jpg) and then I’m manually changing the metadata date created to get them in some sort of order. I loved Memory Maker while at the park but organizing this mess is a nightmare.
$35 is a rip off for a USB drive but according to Photopass Support then it will be the raw files from their system. So that should include proper timestamps (and maybe even GPS data). I called in for that info but I emailed them too just to get the same response in writing. Because f its just the same bulk download mess then I dont want it.
