Jambo everyone and welcome to the latest photo report direct from Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We’ve been away on safari for a couple weeks, so now that we’re back, let’s take a look around and see what’s new.

The first stop of the morning was to take the train to Conservation Station and take a shot at the new animal villain-themed drawing classes at the Animation Experience. We hopped in the stand-by line and had no trouble getting in, but it was pretty crowded, even first thing in the morning! We had the opportunity to draw Tick-Tock the Crococdile from Peter Pan. It was a lot of fun, and you can see more about the experience here, and find out what other villains you could be drawing if you visit.

For taking a video with one hand and drawing on a board in my lap with the other, I’d say my Tick-Tock isn’t so bad. This might just be proof that these step-by-step lessons by the animator team actually work!

When we made our way back from Conservation Station, we decided to head over and meet some friends. Timon and Rafiki have a new meet and greet together at Character Landing, which is located across from Isle of Java and Flame Tree Barbecue just before the Dinoland U.S.A. sign.

This Walt Disney World shirt is really cute and features all sorts of Mickey ear hats and Minnie ear headbands, with a “Florida” banner in the center for $24.99. I feel like I’ve seen a similar flag somewhere else…

If you’re planning to see the new “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” movie anytime soon, this purple “You say villain like it’s a bad thing” top might be perfect to wear to it. It’s $34.99 and can be found in Discovery Trading Co. across from the Tree of Life.

Speaking of villains, a new Maleficent Mistress of Evil MagicBand has descended upon the park. This MagicBand is $34.99 and is limited edition 1000, so it be will sure to fly out of here quickly. If you want to get your claws on this one, you may want to hurry.

Fans of the Disney heroines can find an open edition MagicBand at Discovery Trading Co. for $24.99. Belle, Tiana, Mulan, and Cinderella are all featured on this light pink MagicBand.

Primeval Whirl is running today after announcing it would only be open seasonally. Not sure what season we’re in, but it’s nice to see it operational today.

This cute little cotton-top tamarin is having a snack.

There’s a wide variety of souvenir popcorn buckets and sippers available from the carts around the park.

These Lion King tumblers are on sale now and only $10 with any merchandise purchase.

We’ve been missing a lot of the live entertainment around the parks, but thankfully Bollywood Beats is still around.

I’ve always wanted this moss wall frame from Windtraders just because of the hidden Mickey.

Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey were both at a 155 minute at the same time. The park honestly didn’t feel very busy, so we’re a little skeptical on the accuracy of these wait times, but obviously one of them is worth the wait and one of them is not.

Harambe House, the fourth Club 33 location to open at Walt Disney World, is making some serious progress. The design of the building looks like it will be impressive!

Winged Encounters is still taking place even though part of their area is surrounded by walls for now.

This penny press is adorable and we appreciate the themed elements.
