Today, the Studio Arch that leads into the Animation Courtyard of Disney’s Hollywood Studios received an all-new paint job. The iconic arch now sports dark blue and cream-colored accents over what used to be tan and beige coloring.
The new paint job comes ahead of the arch’s upcoming redesign. Concept art for the new archway was revealed alongside the park’s new logo as part of the 30th anniversary celebration earlier this year in May. The arch is also set to receive the new logo in the coming months (or potentially sooner.)
The smaller arches flanking the sides remain unchanged so far, but according to the concept art, the upper frames should also be receiving the same dark blue color to match the main central arch.
Here’s a closer look at the new paint, with the teal tiles still in place from before.
The new color scheme continues on the back as well.
For reference, here’s what the archway used to look like prior to the new paint scheme.
What do you think of the new look for the Animation Courtyard arch? Are you looking forward to the upcoming logo changes?
At first I thought “I really like that new logo!” But… then I realized it was the old logo. It has more style than the plain block letters and smaller Disney characters in the upcoming new logo.
I actually really like the new coloring scheme. I think it pops more and fits in better in the area it is in. I don’t love the new logo but it is what it is.
As long as they keep those detailed side panels with all the carvings in them, I’m good!
