REVIEW: New Tropical Wine Slush is a POG Juice Lover’s Dream from Kona Island at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Aloha from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! Kona Island, located next to Kona Cafe, has a brand-new Tropical Wine Slush on the menu that sounds too good to pass up. This adult beverage is served icy cold, and combines Moscato with tropical flavors like passion fruit and pineapple. We’re definitely excited for this one.

The drink is served icy and chilled. It’s described as frozen lilikoi juice with Coppo Moncalvina Moscato and pineapple soda. Lilikoi juice is similar to passion fruit juice, and has a sweet, tropical taste. It’s a beautiful orange color, and looks and tastes a lot like the POG juice that is served in several Disney restaurants, including ‘Ohana. For $9.00, an alcoholic POG slush sounds like a good deal, by Disney standards, especially when lilikoi juice on its own is $6.50. It’s not very strong, but it is delicious and goes down easily. The tropical passion fruit flavor was perfect after a hot day at the Magic Kingdom.

The convenient location of Kona Island makes this ideal for anyone doing a monorail crawl. This might also be a good drink to pass the time while you’re waiting in line for your Trader Sam’s Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost Tiki Mug.

A nice cold wine slush sounds perfect after, or even before, your next trip to the Magic Kingdom. Kona Island is located directly next to Kona Cafe, as soon as you exit the monorail. Be sure to check out Kona Island’s chocolate covered bacon, too!
