PHOTOS: Mysterious Construction Site Appears at Entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Just when we thought all the construction around Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ front entrance was complete, we spotted some new construction fencing. The new expanded front entrance and security checkpoint area debuted in August for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Last week, we first took notice of something going on at the front entrance, around where the star and filmstrip photo-op once stood. Let’s see what we can make of this mysterious project.
When walking toward the entrance, this construction area is to your right. Chain-link fencing covered in green scrim conceals any work that’s going on.
The construction site blocks off the last two ticket windows, making them unusable.
On the far side of the construction site, more green scrim can be spotted on the hillside.
While we’ve been by the site, there’s not been any work going on. Our best guess for what’s happening at the front entrance is minor enhancement work, such as fresh concrete and fixing where the railing was indented for the photo-op.
Be sure to keep checking WDWNT for construction updates on all of the ongoing projects at Hollywood Studios!
