The new pathway that will connect the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has been making some major progress lately. The bridge was recently installed on the rotating mechanism that will allow the bridge to move and “swing” out over the water. This will allow boats and barges to pass through the canal when needed. This bridge will finally connect the pathway from the Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
The crane is down and there isn’t much work happening at the moment.
The bridge is installed, but still in the “open” position over the water. We noticed that new railings have been added on both sides of the bridge. The railings are green and seem to be getting installed in segments. There are also rectangular spots on the railings where lights will go.
We can see some planks on the bridge have also been temporarily removed.
It’s pretty peaceful on the other side of the canal.
Be sure to keep following for updates on the new bridge and other entrance enhancements around the Magic Kingdom.
