The new pathway that will connect the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has been making some major progress lately. The bridge was recently installed on the rotating mechanism that will allow the bridge to move and “swing” out over the water. This will allow boats and barges to pass through the canal when needed. This bridge will finally connect the pathway from the Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Resort.

The bridge is installed, but still in the “open” position over the water. We noticed that new railings have been added on both sides of the bridge. The railings are green and seem to be getting installed in segments. There are also rectangular spots on the railings where lights will go.
