PHOTOS, VIDEO: “Baby Yoda” Makes an Appearance Hidden Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Spoiler Warning: If you haven’t seen “The Mandalorian” yet, a.) You’re missing out, and b.) You’re probably wondering why #BabyYoda has been trending all over social media these past few weeks. While this post may shed some light on that, it might also contain some inadvertent spoilers. I have spoken.

With the launch of Disney+, Star Wars fans nationwide have rejoiced at the vast span of content now streamable at their fingertips. (That’s right, no more lugging out the full DVD set!) The new “Mandalorian” series has also become a huge hit, offering unexpected surprises in what has been regarded as a gripping space western. Besides the Greedo re-dubbing in A New Hope, the other Star Wars phenomenon to go viral is that of Baby Yoda, an unnamed infant of “just” 50 years old and a member of Yoda’s species that appears in Chapter 2 of “The Mandalorian.”

Needless to say, he (or she) is adorable, and mightier than its cuteness might let on. Of course, when we heard that Baby Yoda had made an appearance on Batuu, we knew we needed to hop on the nearest landspeeder and head over.

It appears the local Batuuans have taken a hand-sewn Yoda plush and swaddled it in a grey scarf similar to the robes it wears on the show. The scene caused quite a stir on social media yesterday after a reader sent us a photo of his little nest.

You can find Baby Yoda and his little nest over at Toydarian Toymaker in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, right by the register. Hopefully he won’t be napping when you pass by.

If you want to have your own Baby Yoda, the same Yoda plush is on sale for $22.99. All you have to do is find an oversized robe to swaddle him in. (Do note that this is the same Yoda plush that’s been sold here since the opening of the land and no official “Baby Yoda” merchandise has been released… yet.)

Will you be paying a visit to Baby Yoda anytime soon? Check out our video below where one of our intrepid reporters sets out to find him inside the Black Spire Marketplace.

That’s not a Baby Yoda. It’s a mini version of adult Yoda that looks similar to Baby Yoda. I saw it over the weekend and was super surprised, until I picked it up.

I hope they come out with an awesome version of Baby Yoda, getting the mouth and eyes right.
Really surprised they didn’t have something prepared merchandise-wise. Did they not expect everybody to fall in love with the baby?

The director and creator Jon favreau didn’t want to spoil the mandalorian so he asked that as few people as possible know about the character. So, they are a little late to the game.
