After being absent last year, “World of Color – Season of Light” has made its triumphant return to Disney California Adventure for 2019! Over 120 characters from 30 Disney/Pixar films help celebrate the season and what makes the holidays so special. Let’s haul out the holly and take a look at one of our favorite nighttime spectacualrs of all-time!

Disney characters perform along with classic holiday tunes throughout the show.

The fountains form a Christmas tree at one point in the show.

The show-stopper is the bubble hearts that fly into the air during the incredible finale of the show!

Now there’s a way to light up the holiday season! If you’d like to experience this for yourself, be sure to visit Disney California Adventure from between November 8th, 2019 and January 6th, 2020. You can also enjoy our video of this year’s show right here:

“World of Color – Season of Light” returns to the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort lineup after a one-year absence in 2018, as an extended refurbishment ran longer than expected, lasting about 10 months, from April 2018 to February 2019. The show features Disney and Pixar characters and clips interspersed with timeless holiday tunes, including:

  • “The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole
  • “Let It Snow” by Dean Martin
  • “Baby It’s Cold Outside” by Michael Bublé and Idina Menzel
  • “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Amy Grant
  • “Mele Kalikimaka” by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters
  • “Feliz Navidad” by José Feliciano
  • “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies” by Pentatonix
  • “Wizards in Winter” by Transiberian Orchestra
  • “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley
  • “Let There Be Peace on Earth” by Heather Headley

We’ve had a jolly holiday at Disney California Adventure today. We’ve enjoyed some seasonal treats at the Disney Festival of Holidays, partied with the Three Caballeros at the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party, and trekked through Redwood Creek Challenge trail for Santa’s Holiday Visit.
