This particular cupcake costs $5.49 and is a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. Now let’s get into how it tastes!

The delectable chocolate buttercream icing captures the same creamy taste of a hot chocolate. It’s rich, but not overpowering. We detected a hint of sea salt in the icing, which was just enough to cut some of the sweetness.

As for toppings, the Hot Chocolate Cupcake features a milk chocolate straw and marshmallows, because we all know that hot chocolate NEEDS marshmallows. Tiny candy cane shaped sprinkles finish off the toppings. We were a bit disappointed that they weren’t candy cane flavored. They were your standard sprinkle flavor.

The inside of the cupcake was filled with the same chocolate buttercream icing as on top, which we didn’t mind. As for the cake, it was a typical chocolate cake. Nothing flashy, but still enjoyable. The icing kept the cake moist, giving it an almost fudge-like consistency in the middle.

Over all, this cozy little cupcake is a winner in our books. It’s simple, classic components add up to a sweet treat that any chocolate lover would eat up. We’ll definitely be going back for seconds!
