Ho, ho, ho! Merry Disney Christmas, everyone! It’s the holiday season at Tokyo Disney Resort, and that means a new slate of food to devour and review for you all! So, let’s take a closer look at the tasty treats to celebrate the season this year!
New York Deli is a safe bet for American visitors, full stop. If you’re wondering whether you should eat here or not, just do it. But maybe hear about the incredible special sandwich to celebrate the holiday season first! I’m in, how about you?
Camembert & Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich – ¥1260 ($11.60)
Ah yes, nothing feels more New York than a clean, spacious, well-lit restaurant with sandwiches that are not primarily cold cuts or pastrami. In all seriousness though, there isn’t a single thing I’ve eaten here that I’ve disliked! May the grand tradition continue with the special Camembert & Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich.
Just like at Dockside Diner, the sandwich came in this adorable wrapper featuring Mickey and Minnie surrounded by intricate ornamentations. These designs are just so cute!
Don’t let the angle fool you, this sandwich is actually fairly sizeable! The portion features two whole slices of cheese covered in the partly-dyed red honey mustard sauce. A massive improvement from the Halloween sandwich is that there’s much less excessive lettuce this season. As for the savory side, the chicken has been marinated for an extra spicy kick, and compliments the cheese well if you can get them in the same bite. Try mashing the cheese with the bread rather than biting into it directly. It better spreads the flavor.
Overall though, I 100% put this on top of every other sandwich at either park this season! The incredible savory combination of chicken marinated in honey mustard combined with giant globs of camembert cheese make this far and away my favorite grab-and-go style meal! I can’t recommend enough that you stop in at New York Deli through December 25th!
