EPCOT is currently undergoing a full transformation, and it seems like every day we come across a new construction wall. Over at the Imagination! pavilion, even more walls have gone up inside the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival. Mickey will eventually be meeting guests in this new location directly inside the entrance to the attraction.

Mickey and friends used to meet at Character Spot in Innoventions West, but this location closed back in September and Mickey was moved to a temporary location just around the corner. Now, it seems he’ll be getting another temporary home to meet all his fans at the Imagination! pavilion. Eventually, we expect a new Character Spot to be added as part of World Celebration, but for now, we’re just glad we can still visit Mickey and his pals!

As soon as you enter the building for the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival, you’ll find walls up on your right. You can see the walls line most of the right side of the entrance. The benches remain in front of the walls, so you can still have a seat if you’re waiting for the next show. These walls aren’t affecting the attraction, so you can also still stop by and enjoy the Disney & Pixar Shorts.

We can also see there is a gray tarp closer to the entrance that connects from the ceiling and drops down behind the walls.

While this new meet and greet location is set to open early in 2020, no official date has been announced yet, so be sure to keep following for more updates on this and other projects around EPCOT. Are you excited to see the new meet and greet location when it opens next year?
