Work on the much anticipated expansion of EPCOT’s France pavilion is progressing rapidly ahead of its 2020 completion date. We took a trip to the area to see some of the progress that has been made this week.
From across the water by the International Gateway entrance, we can see the work on the overlooks is starting to show signs of completion.
We also noticed a large amount of work equipment and vehicles behind the construction walls.
From above, the walkway that will take guests to the back of the France expansion is starting to come along. The newly planted Maple Trees are showing off their Florida “fall” colors as the cooler weather takes over.
Some of the new sidewalk flooring is starting to be poured in front of the shops and facades.
As we look towards the entrance to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, we can see a lot of work was happening today both on the ground and above on the buildings.
The metal work is starting to come together as windows and roofing are installed.
Workers were working on siding as well.
Work on the new restrooms also is coming along well.
Work was being done on some of the siding here as well, with some windows added to the exterior.
Extensive roof work was happening over at La Creperie.
We haven’t seen this many workers on site here in quite a while.
The facade above Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was also receiving some detailing today.
A look “backstage” reveals the extent of the construction equipment and materials that have been moved in.
As we revealed yesterday, some of the cobblestones are being removed in front of Les Halles.
Today, half of the area that was closed off earlier was opened with seating and tables set out for guests.
