Resort guests looking to upgrade their resort refillable mugs can now opt for a brand-new Star Wars: A New Hope themed insulated mug available at select resort quick service locations.
The mug costs $29.99 on its own, or you can just pay $10 to upgrade if you’re redeeming your resort refillable mug included with the Disney Dining Plan. These mugs are eligible for refills at any resort self-service beverage location for the length of your resort stay, or usually two weeks.
The mug features R2-D2, C-3PO, Luke’s X-34 landspeeder, and of course, Luke Skywalker himself against a Tatooine backdrop.
Much like the recent Skyliner stainless steel refill mugs that were recently rolled out, these are vacuum insulated, and can keep your hot drinks hot for up to 4 hours, and your cold drinks cold for up to 12 hours. These can currently be found at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

I got the Skyliner one on our recent trip and still use it daily, I think these are a much better value than the plastic ones and they are larger as well.
My family got the Star Wars mugs from Walt Disney World Port Orleans Riverside resort. We had to ask for them, as there were none on display. A cast member gladly went to the storeroom and brought them to us. I was expecting the red skyliner cups I had seen online. I have to admit, I was excitedly surprised by the Star Wars theme.(so were the kiddos) I am greatly pleased with the cups so far.
Can you get your refillable mug at any resort? That way we can activate our cup at a resort that potentially has these stainless steel ones?
How big are the stainless steel tumblers and can you add a handle to them (that I can get on amazon) so they are easier to carry or clip to stroller?
You can buy handles that strap on to tumblers from Amazon. A quick search on Amazon.com will give you tons of options. I got sime recently fir an upcoming trip as I’m looking forward to getting the star wars mugs. The handles I bought are adjustable for the size of the tumbler using velcro straps
