Sanaa Removes Bread Service Option with Only 3 Accompaniments at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

There’s no denying that the sumptuous, spicy flavors (and excellent service) of Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village are what draws repeat guests and locals in back to the savanna-view restaurant over and over again. But if there’s one menu item that’s become nearly synonymous with the fan-favorite resort table service restaurant, it’s their Indian-style Bread Service, served piping hot with a variety of chutneys, pickles, and dips.

If you’re a fan of Sanaa’s Bread Service (and who isn’t?), you should be aware of certain changes to the menu recently which may affect your usual pricing and sauce options.

While many guests would opt for the bread service with three (3) accompaniments for $13 to better suit their tastes and budget, it seems that option has now disappeared from the menu, leaving just the option for the all-out nine (9) accompaniments for the new price of $18.

Guests can still order individual breads for $2.50 each, and individual sauces for $1.50 each, however the math doesn’t play out in their favor there. For example, if you chose to order five (5) breads and three (3) sauces, it would be $17, so you may as well get all 9 sauces for just a dollar upcharge, making the bread service charge to be $18. We also noticed that this is an increase of $2 since our last review of Sanaa.

In short, you used to have the option to just choose 3 sauces with the bread service at a lower price or “upgrade” to all 9 sauces, but now that 3-sauce option is now gone for the foreseeable future.

This pricing remains the same at all locations that serve Bread Service, including the resort’s lounges. Thankfully, the breads and accompaniments have not changed:

Bread choices are as follows: Traditional Naan, Garlic-Ginger Naan, Spiced Naan, Onion Kulcha, Paneer Paratha.

Accompaniments: Cucumber Raita, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chutney, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal, Spicy Jalapeno-Lime Pickle.

Food like that makes me go. I never eat it if I’m working.

Too many people were sharing the $13 bread service and taking up the window tables. Now at least they have to spend an extra $5.
